MLK Day + MSK Ribbon Cutting

Join us for the 11 year anniversary of our annual MLK Jr. Day Clean Up, Peace March, and Celebration! West Side Grows Together and partners will host the 11th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Clean Up, Peace March, and Celebration on Monday, January 16th. The theme this year is “Hearts Full of Grace, Souls Generated by Love”.

A community clean up will commence in the area surrounding the brand new MSK Community Center at 1009 Sycamore Street at 10:30am to noon, immediately followed by a mile-long peace march from noon to 1pm, leading back to the community center for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony introducing the brand new MSK Community Center to the public, plus a free celebration from 1 to 3pm featuring local artists, live music, and special guest speakers all presented by Delaware Music Network, and community resources, advocacy opportunities, family-friendly activities, and a free community meal.

The Sessions:

  • Clean Up Volunteer (10:30am to noon)

  • Peace March Attendee (noon to 1pm)

  • Celebration Volunteer (noon to 4pm)

  • Celebration Attendee (1 to 3pm)

IAMMSK 6th Annual Tea Party

Please join us as we celebrate the opening of the 2021/2022 program year with our signature annual tea party fundraiser.

The goal of the tea party is to share your stories with our sisters. The Why, the How, the What of what you do. The unique Rites of Passage that helped you develop along the way. The hope is that our sisters will see, hear or connect with an image, experience, or story that will catapult them into their own Rites of Passage.

Singled Admission Tickets are $50 until September 13th at which time they will increase to $65.00

Table sponsorships (7) are $500 for 8 people.
